MEMBERSHIP ACTION PLAN (MAP)
Membership: Rotary’s Top Priority
Since 2015, Rotary International has officially designated membership growth as our top internal priority. We are a membership organization that delivers amazing service. However, declining membership remains our biggest problem to solve.
A Multi-Year Approach to Membership Goals
We ask our clubs to take a multi-year approach to goal setting by asking current and future club leaders to work together to set goals and determine the correct path and strategies to meet those goals.
This approach promotes:
- Continuity of leadership
- Alignment of purpose
- Unified messaging over multiple years
Membership Action Plan (MAP): Tools for Success
Rotary Zones 33 & 34’s Membership Action Plan (MAP) assists clubs in this multi-year approach by providing:
- Monthly Webinars: Featuring proven and practical strategies already successful in other clubs.
- Membership Success Center: Offering:
- Almost real-time membership results
- Historical membership data
- Resources to understand and improve membership trajectory
Our Vision: A Culture of Growth
The sole goal of Zones 33/34’s MAP is to create a culture that will result in consistent, moderate membership growth.
Imagine…
- Having more members to share the load in your club
- Bringing fresh ideas and generating energy
- Gaining resources to do more good in your communities
Imagine the increased impact…the difference we all know Rotary can make.

The Four-Way Test
Of the things we think, say, or do:
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and
BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
